⦁    1> Computer sign in via your AUD Printing Account.    e-mailed to your UCLA e-mail address from support@aud.ucla.edu 


⦁    2> Checking Printers added to profile: In Taskbar Search field, type Printers and select first search result. You should see 3 HP Laserjet printers and 6 HP DesignJet T7200-X Plotters in the Printers & Scanners settings window.
 

⦁    3> Familiarizing with types of Printers: Black and White, Color LaserJet, Color Wide Format Printers(Plotters)
 

⦁    4> Signing in to PaperCut Printing Account. If you don't have a Printing account, refer to the following link to submit an account request:  https://audhelpdesk.wixsite.com/support/printing-account-form

Click the Filter On button at the upper left portion of the page then set the date from: and date to: fields then click on Apply Filter.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view your total charges for the month. Note: Do NOT go by the Balance on the main portal.

⦁    6> Available Apps for opening and printing PDF = Acrobat, Chrome, Edge, Firefox.  JPG, PNG, TIF = Paint(preferred method for full  printer settings), Photoshop, Windows Photos, and Paint 3D.  DOCx = Microsoft Word, WordPad. Presentations = Microsoft PowerPoint.  To open a file in an app other than default, right click on file and choose the app from the drop down options.
 

⦁    7> Loading and unloading Paper roll on HP Plotters: Paper is normally loaded by IT Support personnel during normal business hours. ⦁    18> Checking Print job queues on the Plotters.  Note: Most plotter print jobs are processed through the Print Server and sent to the plotters storage queue within seconds. To check job status, go to the plotter you sent the job to and check the print queue status by  select the Job Queue menu icon  , then Job queue, where you can see a list of the jobs in the queue. Each has an identifier, comprising:<position in queue>: <image name>The job currently being printed has a pointing hand icon, jobs already printed have a check mark, canceled jobs have crosses, processing jobs have a clock and jobs on hold have a warning
